How do you determine chronological age?
You can determine calendar age by calculating the difference between the date of birth and the current date in years, months, and days using the format (yy/mm/dd) – (yy/mm/dd).

Write both today’s date and your date of birth in the format year/month/day.
Example

Step 2:
Next, subtract the day from the day, the month from the month, and the year from the year.

Rounding Up Age:
In many school reports, ages are rounded to the nearest year. Months and days are usually not included.
If the number of days is more than 15, round the age up. For example, 10-2-18 becomes 10-3, which means 10 years and 3 months.
If the number of days is less than 15, the age stays the same. For example, 10-2-12 becomes 10-2, or 10 years and 2 months.

If the number of days exceeds 15, the age is rounded up to the next month.
Example:
